Personal history with South Africa and France

SA side of my Family going back generations is of French Huguenot descent. My working connections with France spans the drinks industry, food world and tourism/hotels/ property development. I was born in Cape Town, educated in SA but have visited France many times and worked with French companies and their worldwide brands in the marketing/communications/biz development, working in both London and Paris. Some examples: Martell Cognac, Janneau Grand Armagnac, Mumm Champagne and Perrier-Jouet Champagne; and, the European Glutamate Manufacturers Association which included Orsan, the leading MSG producer in Europe. Created the launch of L'Art de Martell at the Eiffel Tower, a first for Seagram International, the global parent company of Martell (at the time). Tourism: Subsequently worked with French hotel groups and French property development company to gain their interest and participation of their brands in South Africa.
